Hello world! This is a space for my ramblings. This hugo thing is harder than I imagined. If you want to know why I bothered instead of using something like Blogger or Steemit:

  1. Free as in beer(I read somewhere Gitlab is free as in speech; I'm not sure and largely free as in speech too)
  2. A subdomain(this is insanely convenient)
  3. It's a webhosting, not a blogging service--meaning I can put whatever CSS or JS sorcery I want on everything and I get to avoid blogging services' client-side analytics

The only drawback is that I don't have a comment section by default. I'll probably do something about that later. Probably not, I've searched around and the comment widgets are either too heavy or too expensive.

Note: this blog has no Google Analytics, nor any kind of Javascript whatsoever(except for the tools at the top), so feel free to roam around. If you're not looking to make money from your blog, why hand your readers' data over to Google? Also consider using NoScript to block unwanted scripts.
